[MSIT] Building a standards-based Public Health Information System through SNOMED CT code mapping and Common Data Model (CDM) construction.

Summary: Contributed to the construction of a Public Health Information System (PHIS) by standardizing hospital medical records to international terminologies and a Common Data Model (CDM). Developed SNOMED CT mapping assistance algorithms to bridge hospital internal codes with international standard codes, which served as a foundation for interoperable public health data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developed SNOMED CT code search algorithm utilizing code relationship data to retrieve ascendant and descendant codes by condition
- Developed SNOMED CT code recommendation algorithm to accelerate terminology mapping
- Supported CDM construction at Samsung Medical Center as part of the PHIS standardization effort
Outcome: Mapping tooling and standardized terminology/CDM pipeline that fed into the broader PHIS construction
